Located in London England, Grateful Pies is an all-inclusive alternative to traditional meat dishes that have historically been featured as the centrepiece of the dinner table. Their ethos is the desire to share and connect people, and their pies are the perfect communal food. Plus their product happens to be plant-based so they can be eaten and enjoyed by everyone.

Grateful Pies approached us as they were in a pickle. They had no packaging and a fast-approaching launch date. Enter Touchwood. We love a good pie and we love a good story so we eagerly jumped in to help. We quickly redesigned the identity to be more approachable, artisanal and more descriptive of the product using deep, rich colours to convey heartiness and an upscale vibe. We developed a tagline and romance copy that better positioned the product in the marketplace as a modern twist on a classic French Canadian Tourtière.

Based on the success of the family-size pies, a mini single-serve take-away version was developed—and flying off the shelves at most eateries. Grateful Pies can be purchased on the company’s online shop, as well as several independent London retailers with plans to go nationwide next year.
