There’s no denying that COVID hit business hard during the past year and a half. One sector particularly impacted was hospitality, with vacancy rates at an all-time low and hotels seeking new ways to attract guests.
The summer of 2021 saw warm weather and ease on restrictions. Camping became more popular than ever, resulting in campsites booked months in advance, limiting availability and leaving many people stuck for alternatives.
Seizing the opportunity, Waterloo Region Tourism asked us to create an awareness campaign to show the benefits of hotels over camping. Using social media, we took a direct route to present those benefits in a fun and unexpected way.
